Almost two years into the pandemic characterized by lockdowns and standstill, SAO witnessed the easing pandemic-related restrictions, the slow and careful opening of domestic and international borders, and the reinvigoration of economic activities. While internally, SAO went through various organizational changes and the closing of a flagship program. All these require re-calibration, re-orientation, as well as letting go.

The pursuit of success in development work is tough. It is a journey not recommended for the faint of heart. The road is long and daunting. It is fraught with dangers, which lurk in every corner and every conceivable place of hiding, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting traveler at the blink of an eye.
