With green mussels symbolizing hope, Share an Opportunity Philippines and the Community Savers Group (Tabucan SG) are cultivating a 100-square-meter green mussel farm near the Alacaygan Sea in Banate, Iloilo.

The group began installing bamboo poles in February, and as the rainy season approached, the mussels started to spawn, now reaching about 2 cm in length. Harvesting is expected to begin in January. This initiative not only provides a sustainable source of income for local families but also promotes marine biodiversity and environmental stewardship in the community.

By empowering individuals and fostering collaboration, we aim to create lasting change and inspire others to engage in similar projects.
