Efe Joy appreciated the blessings she received as a sponsored child and realized that her involvement with SAO contributed much to her spiritual development. At present, Efe Joy is a facilitator in the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Kalahi Project in Capiz. She is determined to continue helping the underprivileged achieve a better quality of life.
Only a miracle could save this child,” the doctors declared as they examined young Jairus Narciso who had been very sick with asthma. As a child, he also suffered from typhoid and dengue fever. His medical condition drained the family’s resources, causing them to struggle fi nancially. But by God’s grace, miracle did happen! Jairus survived the illnesses that plagued him, and now lives to tell his story.
Thelma grew up in a setting where daughters were not given priority in terms of education and development. Now aged 33, Thelma serves as a Share Group leader of SAO in Saranggani Province. She was a sponsored child since she was in Grade 4 until her high school days. Thelma cherishes her dream to become a lady pastor someday and probably continue with her studies.
